Education - America Reads

Positions Description: …Assume leadership and responsibilities for coordinating and mentoring America Reads literacy tutors in area schools; Assist in LiveText one-to-one training and guest presentations as requested under the direction of Dr. Cleland; Provide research, assessment, and program development support to the Teacher Education Council

Basic Requirements: … Full time graduate student, preferably with education certification and reading specialist aspirations, research interests, technology background, and good oral and written communication skills
 
Specific Assignments/Responsibilities: …Educational and administrative oversight of the America Reads Program – tutor recruitment, training, monitoring; Communication with reading specialists in local schools; Development of and monitoring of program materials and activities (application, payroll / timesheets, clearances, new tutor information packets, tutor booklets, letters to schools, recognition materials and events); Provide one-to-one LiveText technology assistance to individuals entering data and evidence into the assessment reporting systems (LiveText, TracDat, etc.); Development of accreditation evidence; Online and library research; Data analysis and presentation; TEC research, assessment, and project support
